SHOTS Ranch often schedules "Seminars" to meet the requests of students. Each individual Seminar is designed as a directed study. "Seminars are not SHOTS Ranch Core Curriculum and do not qualify attendees to enroll into any other course of study that contains a Prerequisite at SHOTS Ranch.

CCW Tactics, Techniques and Preparation Seminar

Tuition: $325.00

The course was designed by SHOTS after countless requests for more defensive firearms training from previous CCW course attendants. Course attendance is highly recommended for CCW Permit Holders or those that are considering enrollment into a CCW Class. This class is also for the person that has not kept their previously learned skills sharpened. Others that want to learn drills that transform their target skills into defensive handgun preparation skills will benefit from this seminar.

“This is not a basic safety course nor should it be considered an actual Tactical Handgun Course. It is a seminar that very quickly touches on many aspects of carrying a concealed handgun while providing for more quality range time and shooting opportunities than can be given during an actual CCW Class. Many students have requested this course. The topics covered within this seminar were actually compiled from a list of these often requested skills.”

1-day program ( 8+ hours)

Abstract
After a review of firearms safety rules, basic pistol skills and an equipment check, this course focuses on the basic skills required to effectively use a handgun for self defense. Whether you have already taken a CCW course from SHOTS (or any other certified CCW training organization); this course will enhance your ability to defend yourself and others with a handgun. “This seminar employs a variety of exercises all designed to develop gun-handling and marksmanship skills, helping students get accurate shots on target quickly”
