Shooters Hands On Training Service offers a variety of firearms courses in Arizona. Defensive Handgun, Defensive Carbine, Arizona Concealed Carry, Firearms Safety, Principles of Home Defense, Ladies Handgun, Reloading Ammo, Hunting Rifle, and custom firearms courses that match your need.
Tactics Techniques and Preparation: This highly requested course brings students back over and over to learn critical skills for the first time or to refresh their skill at arms because they understand that defensive shooting skills (especially tactical shooting) is a diminishing skill. The course starts with basic fundamentals of safety and progresses into advanced tactics. You will experience very little downtime and be pushed to the edge of your capability. We teach you a variety of tactics and techniques allowing you to choose which ones work best for you. Lots of range time in this course.

Defensive Carbine Mini Camp: In this course you will learn: proper trigger control, sight-in procedure to 300 yards, the “Gun Fighter’s” mindset, all position accurate firing, ammunition manipulation, handgun to carbine transitions that work for you, accurate weak shoulder shooting tips, a variety of cover and concealment methods, shooting on the move, multiple target engagement scenarios, how to construct your own training program to continue honing the skills you learned in class when you practice at home, and much more.

Arizona Concealed Carry of Weapon: SHOTS has successfully taught several thousand of American Citizens to carry a concealed firearm lawfully since 1994. Prospective students should know that the current curriculum offered by Arizona CCW Training Programs through the Arizona Concealed Carry Unit within the Arizona Department of Public Safety is not as comprehensive as it once was. It strictly prohibits any and all defensive tactics. SHOTS feels strongly that the omission of the tactics and techniques portion of a CCW holders education may result in a hazardous situation to the CCW holder and any others surrounding them. 1 Day Course - $125.00 (Minimum Class Size: 6 Students)
Firearms Safety Course: Learn just how easy it is handle, store and safely shoot firearms. This is an introductory class for the beginner who wants to learn knowledge, skill and attitude to safely own, shoot and store their firearms. During classroom instruction students will learn: gun safety rules, gun etiquette, gun terminology, the parts of a gun and how they work, shooters grip, proper sight alignment, trigger control and more. On the range students will get to use the skills taught in the classroom while shooting a variety of guns and targets. Handgun, shotgun, and rifle categories. Principles of Home Defense: Learn to defend your home and family from intruders and outside threats. Learn how to build a plan for Home Defense. In this course students will construct a home defense plan from their own rough drawing of their residence. Students will learn strategies to defend their families in a myriad of different threat situations including: home invasion, natural disasters, social collapse and more. Learn to create a safer environment for you, your neighborhood and your family members.

Ladies Handgun: Ladies learn in a comfortable environment that is more suitable for ladies instruction. SHOTS has provided this course for ladies who want to train with other ladies. Similar to our co-ed Tactics, Techniques and Preparation ladies will learn basic fundamentals of gun safety and progress into advanced tactics such as: sight alignment, trigger control, cover and concealment, weak hand shooting, drawstroke from ladies’ carrying devices, ammunition manipulation, shooting on the move, verbal compliance and much more. 1 Day Course – $125.00 (Minimum Class Size: 6 Students)
Reloading Ammo: Re-manufacture your own ammo. In this course students will learn and practice the basic steps of re-manufacturing their chosen caliber of ammunition. The course will cover all aspects of loading on single stage and progressive reloading machines. Learn how to choose the correct brass, powder, primer and bullets for your specific shooting needs. Learn the steps needed to safely tailor your ammunition to your personal firearm which will enhance it’s ability to out perform factory ammunition. Learn proper terms and procedures: bullet – powder – grain combination, safety techniques, and much more. 1 Day Course – $150.00 (Minimum Class Size: 6 Students)
Hunting Rifle: Learn the tactics you need to conduct a successful hunt. This course has been developed to produce more one shot kills. You will learn sight-in procedures for up close and long distance shots.
